CANTONIA Declaration of independence
(Issued on Chris mat day, 2010)
We believe that the domination by Communist Party in China is impossible to be over entirely. For resolving the problems and difficulties what we the Cantonese people are suffering and which brings by Communist Party, there is a method, only one method that is we, our ethnic group, Cantonese people and Cantonese area are independent from China.
There are benefits showed below to us Cantonese from Cantonese area independence.
1) Culture & Customs. Cantonese has his own unique and well-known culture and customs such as food cuisine, kind relationship in people and various traditional customs. For these, we have no longer to ask how they can pass through to us, but ask how can we pass them through to the next generation and develop them, especially in the face, the flood of non-Cantonese from the north.
2) Language. Our language is a unique and independence language. The pronunciation and the style both of which are unique. It is a language, not what Northern government said it, a dialect. We have no longer to ask how it could generate and develop before, but now we ask how we can form an official statue for the language which near 100 million people is speaking in.
3) Economy. Cantonese area has been the forefront of the Chinese economy, the most advanced region in China, but also the heaviest contributor of taxes for China government. (70% of total China taxes income). The most of Chinese product exported to the world are produced here. But there still are extreme poor areas in Cantonia on which lives the extreme poor and unhappy people. Now we have no longer ask what is the relationship between Cantonese economy and northern migration, but we ask how we can make the people enjoy something they should enjoy, such as the benefit of health care, education, employment and living in a green environment.
4) Politics. Cantonia were the birthplace of modern Chinese political figures, such as Kang Youwei and Sun Yat-sen, they were the most transformative social figure at that time. Their democracy ideals were supported by the people in Cantonia. But in the north, their ideals were refused by the northern. Cantonia also was the birthplace of the ROC. However, the implementation of this ideology to the north, all failed. We have no longer to ask, democracy and dictatorship (which also called socialism), which the system better and more suitable for all Chinese people. But we ask how to fulfill Cantonese people the democratic dream which has been looking forward 100 years.
5) Diplomacy. Although Cantonese people and Mandarin people (also known as Chinese or the Northern) have all sorts of different, such as language, customs, habits and culture. But Mandarin has been representing all of people in China, such as establishing enemy, provocative, inflammatory hatred with foreign country. Recently several Cantonese hurt incidents in foreign country have demonstrated the government of China, the cold and helpless. We have no longer to ask, what kind of effect of this hostile tribe diplomatic way with big country would bring to Cantonese, but we ask how to make Cantonese to be respected, has a friendly treatment in all over the world.
After research, study and consideration we have the answer, only leaving from the northern government’s protection, self-reliance is the direction of our ethnic. As well as the children who grow up eventually to move toward independence from their parents and mature.
Needleless to say, the northern do not have the qualification as the mother of Cantonese. Cantonese people should be mature, independent, self-reliance!
The logo of mature, independent, self-reliance is that there is own home, family, ethnic and country. Based on the above, we announce that Cantonia are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent Country, that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the China Government, and that all political connection between them and China, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent Country, it have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent Country may of right do. — And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.
