The more I study science the more I believe in God. (Einstein, as cited in Holt 1997).

The deeper one penetrates into nature's secrets, the greater becomes one's respect for God. (Einstein, as cited in Brian 1996, 119).

Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish. (Albert Einstein)

The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend personal God and avoid dogma and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers this description. If there is any religion that could cope with modern scientific needs it would be Buddhism.
------- Albert Einstein [1954, from Albert Einstein: The Human Side, edited by Helen Dukas and Banesh Hoffman, Princeton University Press]

A human being is part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. We experience ourselves, our thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest. A kind of optical delusion of consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from the prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. The true value of a human being is determined by the measure and the sense in which they have obtained liberation from the self. We shall require a substantially new manner of thinking if humanity is to survive. (Albert Einstein, 1954)

The most beautiful and most profound experience is the sensation of the mystical. It is the sower of all true science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead. To know that what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their primitive forms - this knowledge, this feeling is at the center of true religiousness. (Albert Einstein - The Merging of Spirit and Science)

My religiosity consists in a humble admiration of the infinitely superior Spirit that reveals itself in the little that we, with our weak and transitory understanding, can comprehend of reality.」 (Einstein 1936, as cited in Dukas and Hoffmann 1979, 66).

In view of such harmony in the cosmos which I, with my limited human mind, am able to recognize, there are yet people who say there is no God. But what really makes me angry is that they quote me for the support of such views. (Einstein, as cited in Clark 1973, 400; and Jammer 2002, 97).

All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree. All these aspirations are directed toward ennobling man's life, lifting it from the sphere of mere physical existence and leading the individual towards freedom.」(Albert Einstein)

What is the meaning of human life, or of organic life altogether? To answer this question at all implies a religion. Is there any sense then, you ask, in putting it? I answer, the man who regards his own life and that of his fellow creatures as meaningless is not merely unfortunate but almost disqualified for life. (Albert Einstein, The World as I See It, 1934)

In the absence of any other proof, the thumb alone would convince me of God's existence. (Isaac Newton, As quoted in Fearfully and Wonderfully Made (1987) by Philip Yancey and Paul W. Brand, p. 161; also in Wisdom (2002) by Des MacHale)

This most beautiful system [The Universe] could only proceed from the dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being. (Isaac Newton)

Godliness consists in the knowledge love & worship of God, Humanity in love, righteousness & good offices towards man. (Isaac Newton)

It is the heart which perceives God and not the reason. That is what faith is: God perceived by the heart, not by the reason. (Blaise Pascal)

Faith is different from proof; the latter is human, the former is a Gift from God. (Blaise Pascal)

Happiness is neither without us nor within us. It is in God, both without us and within us. (Blaise Pascal)

It is incomprehensible that God should exist, and it is incomprehensible that he should not exist. (Blaise Pascal)

There is a God shaped vacuum in the heart of every man which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God, the Creator, made known through Jesus. (Blaise Pascal)
