South China Agricultural University (SCAU) (Chinese: 華南農業大學/华南农业大学) founded in 1908. Main campus settles in Wushan, Guangzhou, People's Republic of China. It is a national comprehensive university with long history. The university has 24 colleges/department and 36,000 students, including international students from 22 countries. The main feature of the university is biology science.

SCAU’s history can be traced back to 1909. Over nearly a hundred years, SCAU has grown into a multi-disciplinary, comprehensive university with agriculture, engineering, liberal arts, basic sciences, economics, management, law, education, history and philosophy. It is now adopting a multi-level and multi-approach schooling system and intends to develop into an advanced multi-disciplinary agricultural institute with distinctive tropical and subtropical features. The university takes agricultural sciences as its priority and life sciences as its highlight. At SCAU, undergraduate and graduate programs are developing concurrently, with teaching and research as the two central tasks.

Benefited from geological location, SCAU has been actively building international academic exchanges and co-operations with other academic organizations in the world. It has established inter-institutional ties with twenty-three universities from thirteen countries in Europe, America, Asia and Oceania. There are more and more academic exchanges between SCAU and universities in HongKong and Macao. In promoting the international multi-agricultural technological exchanges, the UNDP, FAO and WFC have attached great importance to the university and established the Regional Sericulture Training Center for Asia and Pacific and China International Center for Agricultural Training in SCAU. Up to now, the university has trained around 1000 overseas students and numerous research and government officials from over 50 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, America, and Oceania. Every year numbers of foreign scholars come here to make academic exchanges and to give lectures. In addition, our university has been sending groups of teachers and researchers to 22 countries for short-term training, education and cooperative research.
